The history of Revo sunglasses is a very exciting one. In fact, in the early 80’s, the NASA worked on a high-precision project that consisted in the development of sophisticated coatings for camera lenses used on satellites in orbit in the space. Mitch Ruda, the optical engineer who was carrying out this research, had the crazy and somewhat visionary idea of applying this technology to ordinary sunglasses. And on that very day the best sunglasses in the world were born, and ever since then Revo has been providing perfect, clear views, always combined with a trendy design and a sleek look.
Revo allows you to wear sunglasses with space age performances thanks to the LMS technology (Light Management System), which precisely manages the light reaching the eyes, to provide enhanced vision and better protection for those who expose themselves to the sun. Here are some examples of how precisely this technology works: it enhances contrast by managing shortwave blue light, which can cause haze; it reduces invisible infrared light; it blocks UV rays which may cause aging and burning.
Thanks to these special multi-layer lenses - up to 10 layers - available also in polarized versions, you will always enjoy a vision free of reflections and glare, and a perfect vision in all light conditions, coupled with the highest available protection.
That's why Revo sunglasses have been worn by the America’s Cup crew, professional fishing guides, the U.S. Coast Guard, and by all those who want only the best from their everyday lives and choose to wear a pair of sunglasses, not only under the sunshine, but also in cloudy and overcast days.
The new collection includes 8 styles, 6 metals and 2 acetates, all featuring flex temples: designed for those who expect -even from their sunglasses- excellent technical performances, for those who want only the best, and who wear sunglasses because through them, they achieve great results. The metal styles 3004 and 3008 are true to the tradition of Revo design, featuring temples in gold or silver characterized by the " Python " pattern, while the lenses are proposed in a wide variety of colors and mirror effects or in the polarized version, ensuring high wearability and superior protection. The plastic tip is injected on the flex temple.
Style 3009 is a comeback of Revo’s classic combination frame featuring plastic temples injected on a gold or silver metal core and spring hinges, for a more comfortable fit. The shape of the front is reminiscent of, and actually called a "tea cup". The slenderness of this shape is perfectly suited for the needs of young people who love exposing their faces to the sunrays yet without forgetting to protect their eyes.
Style 2003 made of acetate treated with a special pantographing process and featuring flex temples, is the newest one among Revo’s plastic collection. The base-9 lenses featured are wrapping and ensure superior protection from light and air: designed for those who request the highest performance typical of Revo sunglasses even during the sporting activity. Available in tortoise, in black, but also in blue, for those who enjoy being the most daring ones.
